There has been a lot of focus on the SACAA itself and safety and maintenance in SA’s airline sector recently. The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is growing increasingly concerned about the number of air safety incidents and accidents in the country.Its investigation division has reported 161 accidents in the 2021/22 financial year in the general aviation sector (which includes all civil aviation aircraft operations, but excludes commercial transport and airlines).
